Hi all.
You may have noticed, the zombiemod have some major issues wich I would like to discuss.
This topic is to compare this modversion (AbneyParks 2.20 BETA) with
Mod 002 Alpha (BTD also runs this mod, but crashes alot due their extremly high 42 player limit.)
1. Killing zombies ,or huge groups of Zombies in a certain area gives lagpikes. It also occurs in 002 Alpha. This problem even affects players who have a stable 20-75 ping. These lagpikes are extremely annoying compared to
Mod 002 Alpha002 alpha sure got the lagpikes too, but not as bad as in this mod
2. IWD files are corrupted
People get IWD errors for not matching the serversettings, because the music mod contains bugs. Alpha 002 once again has a more stable music mod.
3. Music is too loud, and way too long. 10 secs max length on music + amplify -40 db would be better.
4.Wave settings are extremely high.
For example, the waves settings should be
1. 25
2. 50
3. 75
4. 100
5. 200
6. 400
7. 600
8. 800
9. 1000
10. 3000 /5000 / 10 000
Wich gives \0/x as much zombies in a thrilling 10th wave!
Now, the waves settings are like we already start shooting +1400 zombs in strike in the 6th WAVE!
I haven't played till wave 10 yet, but I've heard it gave 4800 zombies in wave 10
In that way it would be WAY to much zombies to fight. After all, only hardcore people will come to the server to play hours with endless zombies coming their way, and noobs will die too fast to survive any round past the 6th wave. Not great if you want a public server where everyone could play this mod.
Also would like to suggest to go back to 002 Alpha, as it's the most stable version.
You won't get the same crashes again as THB server, because the player limit is much lower (32), resulting in minimal risk of a servercrash.
